November Resident of the Month

At Terrace View Gardens, we love getting the opportunity to talk about the incredible individuals that reside at our facility. This month we sat down with Edith N. to learn more about her and her life before coming to stay at our premier nursing home!
Edith was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, where she attended Washburn Elementary School and graduated from Hughes High School. She is one of six siblings with two brothers, Robert and James, and three sisters, Lisa, Terry and Cathy. Edith is a mother of four, grandma of 12, great-grandma of 15, and great-great-grandma of one, with another on the way! It's a big family and she loves every minute of it.

Edith worked for the Board of Education from 1968 until she retired. She worked as a Teacher’s Aide at Hughes High School and then retired as the Cook at Windsor Elementary. Cooking has always been her favorite thing to do. She was a perfectionist when it came to it and nobody could get enough of her delicious meals! Thanksgiving was always her favorite holiday because she could do what she loved and spend time with her family. Her favorite food to eat is mac n cheese, sweet potatoes and turkey.
In addition to cooking, she also loves to sew and crochet. She loves music, especially Blues, Jazz and Gospel, and dancing. She also enjoys reading the Bible. Edith’s birthday is on Valentine's Day, which is so appropriate for her because she is an absolute sweetheart! Around the facility, Edith is a motivator. She is always encouraging other residents and staff to do the best they can. She loves to be involved by attending activities and outings with our staff.
Edith is such a pleasure to have here as a resident. We enjoy her smiling face, positive words and being the greeter to everyone who passes by her. Congratulations, Edith!
